Roof and metal sheeting refurbishment project using the RostFort range of rust control products

Our client had rusted metal sheeting and roofs. The rust damage ranged from heavy rust to light rust. Sandblasting was not a viable option due to environmental impact. The integrity of some of the metal sheeting would be compromised if sandblasted. The metal sheeting and roof required a metal primer and rust protection to be applied. A generic top coat was applied for aesthetic purposes. Our client required seven years minimum rust protection.
Step one – surface preparation by removing loose rust, dirt and grease using RostPrep. The metal sheeting and roof was in poor condition
RostPrep rust remover is applied to the surface. The chemical reaction will loosen rust, oil and grease from the surface. Once left for 20 – 30 min, simply was off with water and a high pressure spray.
Step two – apply RostFort rust converter and metal primer to the surface and apply generic top coat of paint. The metal sheeting after applying RostFort H20 and top coat paint
